Current Job Opportunities at COSA

As a federal and state funded agency The Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging (COSA) must comply with the provisions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission. Consequently, hiring for most positions in this office is done from approved Civil Service lists.

An application form must be completed for each classification that you are interested in applying for. The Civil Service Commission will still accept paper applications but now prefers that everyone apply online. The classifications used by this agency most often are Aging Care Manager 1, 2 and 3 and Aging Program Assessor. COSA uses the Local Government version of all the classifications. The State Civil Service Commission uses a different job code to distinguish positions located in state or local government. Social Work - Aging Care Manager 1& 2- Waiver Program

Social Workers- FT position to determine eligibility for PA's Medical Assistance Waiver Program and develop care plans for older adults. Interested persons must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field and at least one-year experience in public or private social work. Starting Salary for Aging Care Manager 1 is $27,573 per year and $29,718 per year for Aging Care Manager 2. These are Bargaining Unit positions. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Social Workers – FT position to do consumer assessments - determine need for community-based services or nursing home eligibility. Interested persons must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field and must have at least one year of direct aging care management experience. Starting salary is $32,175 per year.
