Out of concern for the health and well-being of our centenarians and their guests, the county has decided to postpone the annual Centenarian Luncheon which was originally scheduled for May 14. The new proposed date is Thursday, September 17, 2020. Please continue to notify Debbie Hedgepeth at 610-872-1406 if you know of anyone turning 100 or older this year who may be interested in attending.
Delaware County Council is searching for centenarians to honor at its annual Centenarian Luncheon which will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020. This will be the 18th year for this event and is always one of the highlights of the year. Anyone turning 100 or older in 2020 is welcome to attend this luncheon at the Drexelbrook Banquet Center. Last year, 65 centenarians attended the luncheon and staff of the County of Delaware Services for the Aging (COSA) visited 19 additional centenarians in the community.
Centenarians and one guest are admitted for free. Additional guests may purchase tickets for $25.00 each. Guests also receive a commemorative photo from the day along with a special proclamation from Delaware County Council.
The organization that brings the most centenarians to the luncheon will receive a cash prize.
